Engilsh Ten Period 2

Read Chapters 7 and 8 of The Autobiography of Dick Gregory. Respond to the Following Questions: 1. How did segregation harm or impact Richard’s relationship with his track team peers? 2. Why do you think it was difficult for Richard to talk about it Why do you think Richard’s white friends didn’t understand it anyways? Afterall, they knew about it. Do you think it was easier for them to “sweep it under the rug?” Why? 3. Provide one example in chapter 7 that Richard become restless with his situation as a disenfranchised African-American. 4. AP English Litearture Period 1 Homework 11/29/12

Reflect back on the class discussion based on the passage: "As flies to wanton boys are we to the gods; they kill us for sport" from ActIV scene 1. What do you think was the most interesting or thought provoking or controversial aspect of the discussion.
