English Ten Period 2

1. Answer the question: When is it ever ok to break a law? Discuss using your observation or experience (You must respond in at least 2 paragraphs)
2. Complete the Antigone Anticipation Guide. It is linked--you may need to go back one or two days to find the link!
3. Watch the following videos to help you understand and learn more about the writing process:

4. Complete the In-Class Essay Reflection #2. Some of you have a typed copy of it. If not answer the following on your own paper:

Reflection on In-Class Essay #2 Please use the following sheet to reflect on our second in class essay of the semester. You may use the back of this sheet as needed.
1.      What was the subject or topic for this week’s in-class essay?
2.      How do you feel about it? DO you feel this week’s essay was better than last week?
3.      Support with evidence? Why might this week’s essay be better or more strongly written?
4.      What did you or your teacher do to better understand the text or the writing process?
5.      Do you better understand thesis statement or claim?
6.      What is a claim?
7.      If you had more time, what changes might you make to this second in-class essay?
8.      Lastly, of what in this essay makes you most proud? Why?

English Ten period 6

1. Dont forget Amnesty Journals are collected tomorrow if you did not complete journal entries for last week! You should be reading 45+ pages per week of your Independent Reading novel so that you will be finished. Independent Reading Novel Projects and Book Talks are coming!
2. Complete your research on The Greek Theatre. We will continue team teaching tomorrow!
3. Complete the Antigone Anticipation Guide that was posted two days ago. It is hyperlinked.

1. We learned two words: Constitute; and Constituent. Write out definitions for these two words in your notebook in your notes section.
