SAT Periods 1 and 2 Lesson

Good Morning and Welcome to the SAT 1 and 2 Prep Class. Today's lesson objectives include the following: Brief Introductions;  Overview of  the New SAT;Creating a College Board/ Khan Academy Account; Linking Your Khan Academy Account with Your College Board Account   
Exploring Rules; Class Structure and Expectations; and Taking A Practice Diagnostic Test.
This class will be conducted as a hybrid course--meaning, you will need both pencil and paper to take notes; you are expected to engage in brief discussions and complete reading and writing tasks, and you will also need your Chromebook.

Homework: 1. Literature Circle Journals for week 2 if not already submitted.
2. Next visit https://www.womensmarch.com/100/ Read about the Women's march; then write two to three sentences on a subject that you would like our senator, Kamala Harris to consider as it relates to Women's Rights; Black Lives Matter; Immigrant Rights; Education, etc.  Write your "rough draft" on a sheet of paper, then, tomorrow, please come before lunch to obtain a post card to write your message! We will send off postcards from King Drew students and teachers tomorrow!
