American Literature All Classes
Tomorrow, bring your Character Analysis Chart; Essay Planning Sheet and text. Tomorrow for most of the 54 minute period, we will write. Objective: To finish writing a FULL Character Analysis Essay of at least 5-6 paragraphs in class on a character selected from A Raisin in The Sun.

Character Analysis Essays: 1 Now you must use the Revision Checklist to check your grammar and punctuation and organization for your essay. Your final draft is due on Thursday*

American Literature: All Periods
American Literature Period 1&3: Complete your Open Mind using images, colors, words, quotes and actions from A Raisin in the Sun. Your Open Mind should have a line drawn down the middle. On either side is a DIFFERENT character from a Raisin in the Sun. We should learn What makes this character tick and see how they conflict with the character on the opposite side. You must use colors, markers, etc.
2. Answer at least 10 study questions on A Raisin in The Sun, selected from the study questions from period 4. You must answer #19 and #18
3. Complete the Reading Reaction Record based on A Raisin in the Sun Act I.ii
Period 4 1. Complete a SOAPS on Nikki Rosa
2. Model the poem Nikki Rosa using your background and experiences. Be creative! You may write some of the poem in Spanish or using dialect!
