2. Complete your Open Mind (Before and After) for Frederick Douglass- before his fight and after his fight with Covey. Include 4 quotes; 3 adjectives and one image to describe him before and after.  Use color!!!!
3. In what ways was Cesar Chavez similar to Frederick Douglass? Or The Legacy of Cesar Chavez (write a one page reflection).
4. I AM Poem  for Frederick Douglass (as if he wrote it himself, sometime after his fight).

Literature Circle Group Presentation Reflection: Discuss your groups presentation to the class. Do you feel that your group put forth your best effort?Why or why not? Was the presentation a team effort or did one group member take over or not contribute their fair share? Do you feel that your understanding of the novel was communicated? How? What was the best part of your presentation? If you could redo your presentation (in terms of the slides or oral presentation) what changes might you make? Feel free to discuss color, text, slides etc.  Use academic language and be sure your response is one page.

Agenda for Monday, March 27th.
1. Be Sure to get a SOAPS Sheet from the Guest Teacher and read your Article of the Week. Complete a SOAPS; Academic Summary and pose three questions about your article (level 1; author and you; on my own)
2.  Be sure that you identified examples of Sensory Language (5 Senses Chart) from The Narrative of Frederick Douglass.
3. Begin: Write about a Fight that you had that marked a difference in your personality. Who was the fight between? Why did you fight? When? How did it happen? How have you changed as a result? This is the beginning of your Chapter 3 Autobiographical Incident.
4. Quiz on Wednesday on Sensory Language and The Narrative of Frederick Douglass Chapters 8-where we are in chapter 10.
