English Ten Period 6

Continue to research and write your rough draft of your historical biographical narrative of an individual who "Stood their Ground" with an act of Civil Disobedience or defiance.  Your report should:
Identify the name of the individual; the event, law, custom that they defied, identify when the action took place, where it took place, identify other individuals involved.  Did the subject of your narrative change or alter their act of defiance?
Why? Did they repeat it? What the act of defiance a part of a larger social movement in the United States? If so, what is the name of that movement? Did the individual suffer for his or her actions? Did they die or go to jail? Have they been shunned by society or honored? If so, what honors have they received? How is society a better place because of their deed/deeds?
In addition, tell the reader the story of your individual. When were they born? Where did they grow up?
Type or write out a rough draft that answers these and more questions. Have it ready on Monday. It is worth fifty points.
