American Literature period 3

1. Make Flashcards of the Pronoun Classes  and include examples. You may use your red grammar text online if needed.  You should include the following classes of pronouns: Personal; Relative; Demonstrative; Interrogative. 
2.  Visit The Huffington Post Voices Section. Select a Community which interests you. Then, after reading one (1) commentary/article, complete a SOAPS Analysis. 
3. Remember the Video that you watched? Complete a Video Log for that Video.
4. Finish the Pronoun Assignment in our online red grammar text on page 385. Complete 6-10.

H. English Ten period 5 The Cold Equations

Today, we will begin reading and hearing a Science Fiction short story entitled, The Cold Equations by Tom Godwin.

American Literature Periods 1,3,4

1. Finish your translation of "An Author to her Book' by Anne Bradstreet. Complete an academic summary paragraph about the poem.
2. Complete the following tasks on Study-Sync: Annotation (if you have not already done so); Context Clues; and Comprehension Strategies.  The window is open until Monday.
3. Watch the following videos and take notes on your own paper, or the video log. Link:

4. Complete the reading and writing surveys, and reflection of high school so-far. These links are under classroom readings and handouts. NOTE: I havent posted the video log or surveys yet. I will give you an additional day.

Am Lit periods 1, 3, 4 Reading about and Identifying Pronouns

1. Click the pronoun link under handouts and class readings to the right. Read the background on pronouns on page 380 of the book. Also study the examples in the exercise on the bottom of the page of 380. Then complete exercise Exercise 1 on page 381 (Yes, you must write out the sentences) and draw arrows back to the antecedents. 
2. Also, read and study the examples on page 381 at the bottom and the top of page 382, and complete Exercise #2 on page 383. On this exercise, you only need to write out the PERSONAL pronouns. You may complete both exercises on the same page.
